There are also 222 seats in the state assembly.

Malaysia has made significant political progress since its independence from Britain fifty years ago.

It is a multicultural country with enormous natural resources that attracts foreign investment capital.

Despite the global economic difficulties caused by excessive debt, Malaysia continues to grow as an economic powerhouse due to its natural resources.

Malaysia’s independence from Britain in 1957 made it a Commonwealth country.
